Travel advice given on how to tip when on holiday
Travel advice has been given to holidaymakers on tipping etiquette when abroad.
Cheapflights has offered travellers suggestions on how to save money by leaving the appropriate amount of money when giving a tip on holiday.
The company's travel expert Nadine Hallak said: "Knowing how much to tip can save travellers a lot more than the embarrassment of not being familiar with their destination's customs, it can also save them money."
Cheapflights told holidaymakers that all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean discourage tipping.
However, it recommended travellers heading to the Middle East to tip as it is customary, but that holidaymakers should be discreet when doing so.
"Work in the tip with your handshake," the comparison site advised.
Last week, the Post Office suggested that picking the right destination for summer getaways also could save travellers some pennies.
