What happens to all the lost luggage?
Most lost luggage is not actually lost, it is normally a simple case of the baggage
handlers being unable to identify the owner. Baggage handlers are obliged to do
their utmost to return any luggage to its rightful owner. However, any luggage that
cannot be reunited with its owner and remains unclaimed for a specified period of
time will usually be sent to auction.
